Every time you compete, you earn bank points that you can use to buy upgrades for your car, or to upgrade to a higher race class. Of course, you score points faster if you win races rather than lose! The quickest way to accumulate points is to race against other live players on the network.
Cars may be upgraded in the Garage. You may upgrade individual components of your car, such as the chassis, engine, transmission, suspension, and tires. Each upgrade costs bank points, which you have earned from racing.
The Options menu also allows you to choose Race Class, which allows you to move up the race class hierarchy once you have accumulated enough bank points.
