The racing screen is the heart of the game, since this is where the actual racing occurs. This screen displays a view of the racecar seen from behind and looking down the track, along with two essential dashboard indications: engine RPM and current speed. When the player presses the up arrow to begin burnout and staging, the racing screen depicts the car as it executes these processes, i.e., as it moves up to the starting line and prepares to start. Once staging is completed, the screen shows both the car at the starting line and the Christmas tree lights (lighting one at a time until the green light is shown). When the green light is shown, the player presses the UP arrow to begin racing. Please note, your reaction times begin to count from this point on. As the car races down the track, the screen shows the road and walls of the track zooming by on either side. After the player crosses the finish line and deploys his parachute, the racing screen will display results for this race, identifying the winner, winning time, number of points won, etc.
